What should I expect from my doctor?

ACS Answer

A good patient-doctor relationship is a two-way street. Your doctor should:

  • Treat you with respect
  • Return your phone calls
  • Not make you feel rushed
  • Explain things about your condition and its treatment clearly so that you understand them
  • Answer your questions if there is something you don't understand
  • Be able to answer your questions about advances in treatment of your condition or be able to direct you to places to get the answers
