JAMA Study Shows Increased Use of Alternative Medicine in U.S.
1998/11/08 -On November 10,1998 officials from the American Medical Association announced several studies on alternative medicine published in the November 11 issue of Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). One study reports an increased use of alternative medicine in the United States.

You may have heard the terms "alternative" or "complementary" used to refer to cancer treatments and wondered exactly what they meant. How can you know if these approaches are safe and if they are likely to help you? The American Cancer Society can help sort out what these terms mean and provide important insight into these therapies.
